mixandgrind.in Picks: Best Barefoot Running Shoes For Men In India

We have crafted this list of Top 10 Best Barefoot Running Shoes For Men available in India, along with a quick buyer’s guide to help you identify a suitable product for yourself and your family!

1. SIMARI Quick Dry Barefoot Water Shoes

SIMARI Quick Dry Barefoot Water Shoes

The SIMARI Quick Dry Barefoot Water Shoes are the least expensive pair on the list. These Barefoot Water Shoes are an excellent place to start if you’re a newbie runner who doesn’t want to invest too much money straight away.

Even better, conserving money doesn’t have to mean settling for shoes with fewer features.

SIMARI’s barefoot shoes have a soft EVA insole that provides a high level of elasticity to the wearer. If you plan on running on rocky surfaces, jagged rocks, or even hot sand, this will protect your feet and provide more comfort. In fact, if you’re searching for a pair of shoes that can transition from land to water and back, these are an excellent option for the money.

These soles also have a distinctive bump pattern that provides more traction – a big plus if you’re running on slick conditions.

When you work up a sweat, the elastic mesh uppers of these shoes will comfortably embrace your feet while still being breathable and drying rapidly, so you won’t have funky feet when you get home.

There’s also a user-friendly locking mechanism for keeping the elastic shoelaces in place when running, which is an underappreciated feature. As a result, you won’t trip over your laces while running, and they’ll be much easier to put on and take off.

By the way, if you’re new to barefoot running, this blog post is an excellent place to start transitioning from regular running shoes.

SIMARI Womens Mens Sports Water Shoes Quick Dry Barefoot for Swim Diving Surf Aqua Pool Beach Walking Yoga 104 Black 8.5W/7.5M
  • BREATHABLE FABRIC: The upper is made of mesh material with stretch, like socks that snug your skin softly and guarantee the breathable and quick-dry experience.
  • UNIQUE DESIGN: The design for our product is based on ergonomic principal which has good performance in cushion. Each sole has 8 holes to ensure well in drainage that keep feet-feeling more cooler.
  • CONVENIENT WEARING: The elastic-shoelace with locking mechanisms can quickly adjust the loose, and elastic shoes neckline allows you easily put on and take off.
  • SAFETY: The soles is made of rubber materials and the unique bump texture design that easily keep balance in slip-place and protect your feet from hot beach or sharp rock.
  • Occasions: SIMARI water shoes perfectly suit for beach or water games like swimming, kite surfing, pool, sailing, kayaking, beach volleyball etc. Especially for family outings!

2. Fila Skele-Toes EZ Slide Drainage Sandal (Toddler/Little Kid/Big Kids)

Fila Skele-Toes EZ Slide Drainage Sandal (Toddler/Little Kid/Big Kids)

You might also go with the Fila Skele-Toes EZ Slide Drainage Barefoot Shoes for a little bit more.

If you’re searching for a barefoot option to take on the obstacles of beach jogging, these are easily the best shoes on the list. The low-impact nature of the sand, along with their joint-friendly structure, is a perfect method to avoid one of the most typical running blunders beginners make: running too much and too hard on pavement.

A rough synthetic outsole will provide outstanding stability on slippery conditions wherever you wish to run.

Additionally, the Fila Skele-Toes EZ Slide Drainage Barefoot Shoes feature a four-way stretch fabric with air mesh for a more comfortable and relaxed fit.

The enhanced drainage systems are another reason these barefoot shoes have grown so popular with beach runners. They make certain that any water that gets inside is rapidly removed. This is a concern for other shoes since too much water equals too much weight.

Oh, and if you do plan on using these for beach running, you’ll like the fact that they’re barefoot shoes, which means you can run in them without socks.

The way the toes are accommodated is perhaps the most distinctive feature of these running shoes. We’ve seen the “five-finger” toe design before – and we’ll examine several examples here – but Fila Skele-Toes EZ Slide Drainage Barefoot Shoes cut it down to just four fingers.

There are four of them.

Those of us with five toes, on the other hand, can still wear them. It’s only that instead of two slots, your two tiniest toes will go into one.

This makes putting these shoes on at a moments notice a lot easier. If you’ve ever attempted the five-finger versions, you know how difficult it is to get your tiny toe in — sometimes literally.

Then there’s the more typical hook-and-loop strap system with bungee to keep these shoes secure.

If all of those other advantages aren’t enough to entice you, consider the distinct footprints these shoes will leave in the sand. Wherever you step, the tread of the shoes will leave a skeleton design (come on, that’s cool).

3. TSLA Trail Running Zero-Drop Barefoot Shoes

TSLA Trail Running Zero-Drop Barefoot Shoes

TSLA Trail Running Shoes are another excellent alternative that is only little more expensive.

However, that step up is accompanied by a zero drop, making these the first zero-drop shoes on our list.

However, TSLA designed them with some padding, so you won’t be utterly alone if you plan on hitting some tough trails. While this may rule them out for those looking for a real zero-drop experience, I believe it makes them ideal for those transitioning from standard running shoes.

It’s also difficult to top that pricing.

In addition, the instep support on these shoes is quite good. If you’re searching for a zero-drop fit, this is just more reason to make these your first excursion into barefoot shoes. This design will keep them close to your feet in addition to providing comfort.

TSLA added a lot of grip to the outsole, making them ideal for any terrain and any sport where a barefoot feel is desired without sacrificing traction.

  • TSLA : Zero-Drop Cross-Trainer shoes designed for barefoot performance and outdoor trail activities
  • Alert : Choose 1/2 size up! We strongly recommend based on customer's reviews
  • ex : usual size Men 7 (D) > MEN 7.5(D)
  • Slightly cushioned zero-drop sole : Offers barefoot feel of the terrain that stimulates and develops the bottom muscles of the foot for better stability.
  • Dura Nylon Band : For instep support and a enhanced tight fit.

4. WHITIN Cross-Trainer Barefoot & Minimalist Shoe

WHITIN Cross-Trainer Barefoot & Minimalist Shoe

Another wonderful barefoot shoe that should fit most runners’ budgets is the WHITIN Cross-Trainer Barefoot & Minimalist Shoe.

If you truly want to get as minimal as possible, these are another example of inexpensive barefoot running shoes with a zero-drop construction.

However, just because you’re running at zero drop doesn’t mean you have to be uncomfortable.

These cross-trainers include a rubber zero-drop sole with a 5mm “power footbed” that provides substantial cushioning. Another reason runners prefer this shoe when they’re first getting into the zero-drop design is the padded back collar, which is designed to assist your Achilles tendons. If you’re worried about your Achilles being injured due to a lack of support, this is a decent pair to start with.

WHITIN introduced ultra-grip outsoles to help you grip wet and dry surfaces even better. Sticky-grip rubber outsoles take use of the ultra-grip design, not just in terms of traction but also in terms of durability. So, no matter where the trail leads you, these are shoes you can plan to wear for years.

WHITIN Men's Cross-Trainer | Barefoot & Minimalist Shoe | Zero Drop Sole | Wide Toe Box
  • Anatomical shape provides natural comfort.
  • Adaptive materials and minimalist construction.
  • Zero drop from heel to toe for a natural stride.
  • Our vegan friendly footwear uses 0% animal products.
  • Note, if between sizes, order next size down.

5. Body Glove 3T Barefoot Cinch Water Shoe

Body Glove 3T Barefoot Cinch Water Shoe

The Body Glove 3T Barefoot Cinch Water Shoe, like the Fila Skele-Toes, has a lot of followers because of its distinctive toe feature. WHITIN designed these simple sneakers with only three slots. It’s a lot easier to put these shoes on and off when you only have to worry about fitting your toes into three slots.

Many runners appear to feel that this design is also far more comfortable than five-finger variants.

But, as with the Fila Skele-Toes, the 3T Barefoot Cinch Water Shoes’ unusual style isn’t the only thing they have to offer. They, too, feature a zero-drop sole and a shocklace system to ensure that these minimalist shoes fit perfectly.

Fortunately, the outside design of their buildings was also carefully considered. The stretch uppers make it simple to slip these shoes on and off, and the adjustable strap helps with this as well.

And the ultra-grip treads go a long way toward allowing you to confidently use these shoes on both dry and wet conditions.

If you do decide to use these for wading in the water, you’ll appreciate the ample breathability, which will help them dry quickly. This is particularly beneficial if you work up a sweat and don’t want to deal with odours or sores later.

6. Vibram KSO EVO Cross Training Shoe

Vibram KSO EVO Cross Training Shoe

We’ll look at some more expensive options in the second half of our list of the best barefoot running shoes on the market. These are shoes you should generally avoid until you’ve been running for a while and are confident in your commitment to the sport.

The Vibram KSO EVO Cross Training Shoe — the design that actually launched barefoot shoes into the public back in 2005 – will kick off this section of our list.

These are as close to a zero-drop and minimalist shoe as you can get. Many people who have flat feet choose Vibram Five Finger shoes because of their design. If you’re not sure if you have this condition, just one step (no pun intended) in these shoes will tell you very immediately. There will be nowhere for your deficiency to hide.

While the five separate toe slots make this shoe a little more difficult to put on than the other “finger shoes” on this list, the extra time is well worth it for many runners.

Even more so if you choose the KSO EVO Cross Training Shoe.

This is due to the Vibram XS Trek soles, which give excellent protection while still allowing your feet to flex with each stride. This material also provides excellent traction on wet surfaces, allowing you to wear these barefoot shoes both in and out of the water.

Despite its high-quality, long-lasting materials, the KSO EVO Cross Training Shoe may be washed. So, whether you’re wearing them in the pool or merely sweating them off, you won’t have to worry about them becoming a sore nose.

7. Merrell Vapor Glove 4

Merrell Vapor Glove 4

The Merrell Vapor Glove 4 is a pleasant shoe that combines the benefits of running barefoot with a reasonable amount of shoe – almost like a standard shoe.

This is easily one of the best-looking shoes on the list, in my opinion, especially considering that they’re clearly designed for function over fashion. Merrell could have chosen a lot worse for its design.

I understand that this isn’t a top priority for every runner, but given the price, I like knowing that you won’t have to buy a new shoe for your leisure activities.

Our trendy running sunglasses, for example, are an excellent choice for shades to wear when working out or having fun with friends – and they’re quite reasonable!

Back to our blog post now.

The Vapor Glove 4 has a substantial quantity of sole – 6.5mm – to protect your feet from the terrain below. Even with that much cushioning, you’ll get the minimalist barefoot feel you’re searching for in a shoe with a zero-drop style.

A Cordura-mesh top that is both breathable and sturdy sits over the foot. It is ultra-lightweight, weighing just under eleven ounces per pair. Even though these are heavy-duty shoes, they are nevertheless really comfy.

While I believe this is an excellent choice for anyone searching for barefoot running shoes, their zero-drop sole, durability, and comfort also make them ideal for other activities like weightlifting.

8. Xero Prio Lightweight Zero Drop Barefoot Shoes

Xero Prio Lightweight Zero Drop Barefoot Shoes

The Xero Prio is the next pair on our list, and it’s the only one that’s been featured on ABC’s Shark Tank. While the founders’ appearance on the show did not result in an investment, the company has gone on to be extremely successful since then cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval

Initially, the firm concentrated in zero-balance, minimalist sandals, but demand for the same level of minimalism in barefoot shoes grew as a result of their popularity.

Despite the fact that Xero has a variety of excellent solutions, the Prio sticks out.

To begin with, the insole of these shoes is merely 2mm thick. Even though it’s nearly nothing, it can be removed if you desire even less space between your foot and the ground. That model is as close to being “barely there” as a running shoe can get.

These shoes, however, are slightly heavier. This is the heaviest pair on the list, weighing in at 16.8 ounces, more than twice the weight of the lightest running shoes.

However, for athletes who prefer to use their entire foot with as few restrictions as possible (i.e., only those necessary for adequate protection), a few extra ounces aren’t likely to be a significant issue. It could be well worth it in terms of muscular development and posture.

Many runners also like that, like the Merrell barefoot shoes we just discussed, these are some of the few minimalist running shoes that can be worn with regular clothing. While you’ll pay a little more and have to deal with a little extra weight, you’ll be getting shoes that you can wear on the trail, around town, and even out on the town.

If you’re looking for a new pair of shoes to avoid the issues that come with regular shoes, the Xero Prio Lightweight Zero Drop shoes are a great option.

9. Inov-8 Bare-XF 210 V2

Inov-8 Bare-XF 210 V2

Let’s take the Inov-8 Bare-XF 210 V2 up another rung on the price ladder.

For many, the higher price tag is acceptable because these are excellent minimalist shoes for not only running but also CrossFit, martial arts, weight training, and other sports.

If all you want to do is run, they are probably not the shoes for you. They do have a zero-drop heel, which is excellent, but the price is only justified if you plan to wear them for other sports as well.

If you do, though, these shoes are great. On this list, their durability is unrivalled. They can withstand everything from rough hiking paths to CrossFit mats. This is why so many people can easily justify their price. Purchasing minimalist shoes for a half-dozen different sports would be prohibitively expensive.

Despite all of Inov-8’s efforts to make these shoes nearly unbreakable, you are getting a minimalist shoe here. The shoe’s extra-wide dual-layer mesh toe may make it appear big, yet it still has a 3mm zero-drop sole.

That said, at 15 oz, this is still a heavier running shoe than most on our list, which is why I mentioned I wouldn’t recommend it if all you want is a barefoot shoe for jogging.

This shoe is designed for multisport players who wish to experience a barefoot feel for years to come.

10. Vibram FiveFingers V-Trail V2.0 Trail Running Shoes

Vibram FiveFingers V-Trail V2.0 Trail Running Shoes

Finally, Vibram deserves credit for bringing barefoot running shoes into the mainstream, as I indicated previously.

It’s no surprise that it’s the only brand to appear twice on our list (three if you count the outsole of the Merrell Vapor Glove 4).

And on that note, allow me to introduce you to the V-Trail 2.0.

Even though they’re the most expensive option on our list, I’d still recommend them if you’re serious about barefoot running on rugged trails or any other terrain that requires protection.

I wouldn’t recommend these if you’re just getting into barefoot running because of the expense. After you’ve owned at least one prior pair and are sold on trail running in minimalist shoes, this is the pair to upgrade to.

Because these are REALLY heavy-duty shoes for “barefoot” choices, I stress trail running. They have a lot of grip, which is fantastic for going over uneven terrain, as well as a lot of rubber armour to keep your skin safe.

All of this while weighing only 6.4 ounces and featuring a 3.7 mm outsole and a 2 mm EVA foam insole.

So, while these are classic five-finger running shoes, they aren’t the most adaptable of the bunch. All additional protection can slow down your foot’s agility, but if you plan on jogging over rocks or gravel, the extra durability will likely be worth it.

11. ANDUNE Men’s Barefoot & Minimalist Cross Training Shoes – Black Bolts | Wide Toe Box | Zero Drop Sole

ANDUNE Men’s Barefoot & Minimalist Cross

PERFECT FIT. Toes can extend out and rest in wide toe boxes. Non-elevated “zero-drop” heel for proper posture.

FEELING NATURAL. Flexible soles allow your foot to naturally bend and flex. Balance and agility are enhanced by the low-to-the-ground design.

MOTION IN NATURE . Natural rubber soles let you to safely step on all surfaces while providing your brain with the feedback and stimulation it craves.

This is my first time wearing barefoot shoes, therefore I can tell the difference between these and conventional shoes.

Gym use and possibly beach or water activities would be the primary use cases. In regular everyday wear and testing, I don’t think it would last very long.

However, at this price point, I am pleased with the product and quality.

Buying guide for the Best Barefoot Running Shoes For Men

Men’s Barefoot Running Shoes: What to Look for

Quality.

In barefoot running shoes, quality and construction are critical, as you could damage yourself if your shoes are not well-made. Look for barefoot shoes that are light and provide a lot of ground sensation while also providing adequate foot protection.

Toe-to-Heel Drop.

The heel-to-toe drop refers to the difference in height between the heel and the forefoot and can range from zero to 12 millimetres. In barefoot shoes, there is no heel-to-toe drop. Lower heel-to-toe drops (such as those found in barefoot shoes) can place extra stress on your knees, ankles, and feet if you have lower limb ailments.

Researchers discovered that a lower heel-to-toe drop was connected with a higher injury risk in frequent runners in a study on the subject.

If you’re prone to injuries, invest in a good barefoot running product to avoid further problems. Alternatively, opt for more cushioned shoes instead of minimalist ones.

Flexibility.

Shoes for barefoot running should not be stiff. Bend your foot and feel how the shoes bend back on themselves when trying them on—they should flex and twist smoothly. The arch support should not be firm either. A lot of stiffness can prohibit you from jogging naturally.

Choose Lightweight.

One advantage of minimalist running shoes is their lightness. Because you’re not lifting much weight in terms of the running shoe with each stride, this style of running shoe allows for a natural gait and provides superior energy return. This can help you attain a more effective running stride by reducing ground contact time.

Running in flexible, lightweight, yet well-cushioned running shoes improves running economy (how much energy you spend when you run), according to a research published in Sports Medicine. Minimalist running shoes lowered oxygen consumption by 2.8 percent when compared to stiff shoes.

Make the Change Slowly.

It’s advisable not to transition to barefoot running shoes if you’ve always run in highly cushioned shoes. To avoid harm, make sure to ease into the transition. Before making the switch to zero-drop shoes, try neutral shoes for a few weeks or months. While wearing barefoot shoes with thin soles can assist strengthen your Achilles tendon and calf muscles, it takes time. You risk straining your muscles or producing tightness if you transition too rapidly.

Get a Wide Toe Box.

A broad toe box is common in minimalist running shoes. A toe box is the amount of space in a shoe for your toes to move around. A running shoe with a large toe box allows your toes to splay out with each stride, which can assist improve your gait over time. When purchasing any sort of running shoe, the size of the toe box is critical.

Know Your Feet.

Barefoot running shoes and minimalist shoes are not for everyone. Before switching up your footwear, consult a podiatrist or doctor if you have a history of foot pain or discomfort. Plantar fasciitis is a common running injury that is commonly treated by wearing well-cushioned shoes to give needed support and ease pain. It’s probable that wearing barefoot shoes will aggravate this injury.

Know Your Terrain.

It also matters what kind of running you undertake. Trail running takes you through a variety of terrains, some of which require more cushioning and protection for your feet. Trail running shoes, for example, have a firmer midsole for support on rough terrain. If this is your first time running barefoot or in minimalist running shoes, proceed with caution and practise on level surfaces until your feet are accustomed to the sensation.
